Bishoujo: Tali'Zorah

She is finally here! The second statue addition for my 2016 line up and it's only March! My oh my! What a year it is going to be for collecting! Well, before any of that, I do want to talk about this beauty. Other than the obvious fact that I love Tali and all the things she is from Mass Effect, this statue proves to be a gem! So with that opinion in tow, let's go ahead and jump on the figure and scrutinize what makes her great in my opinion!

Somehow I was under the impression only special version have black boxes. Guess I was wrong, but Tali is special. Well, on to the figure!

We'll do a complete look at the figure but just looking at this angle, I have to say she is gorgeous. We'll start off by talking about her paint job... immaculate! Everything about the different variations of purple really does make you think Tali. The patterns on her 'clothing' is also rather recognizable and the small hints of gold all about are also accurate. The layers and all the different textures that are put into this are just amazing.

 

 

Then of course the black contrasts along with the silver! I can't go enough in details to say just how much I am impressed with Kotobukiya's work on the paint job. Time after time I am just astounded by how well this company can make a popular female character and make them 'their own version'. Though Tali, paint job and all, still symbolizes her Bioware counter part in every way.

Now when we talk about the sculpt, yes this is Tali. Down to the core. The way her veil hangs around her head, the little straps here and there, her signature Quarian hands and feet, then the wonderful 'mysterious' face that is just teased through her helmet:

We did get a 'canon' version of her face in Mass Effect 3, so perhaps it would have been nice to get a variant. But I know not a lot of fans appreciated that and some even want to keep this mysterious look of Tali; so for that sake, this one looks good. It's transparent to see the shape of her face and the 'eyes', but not enough to reveal anything about her enigma that she held from Mass Effect 1 until near the end of Mass Effect 3.

The details on her Quarian Reegar Carbine is amazing as well. Just the rivets, the certain color palette to signify metal... man.

Then look at those different textures put into her suit. The straps. I love those different honeycomb sections then to the... uh.... err.... This is Tali accurate!

And just like Jane Shepard and Juri Han, Tali has alternate stand designs. As you can tell, I chose the Tali art more than the 'Mass Effect 3' lettering for a permanent stand. Though, I do know this suit more from Mass Effect 2; and that game was my favorite out of the three.

And here is Bishoujo Tali next to some of my Mass Effect Playarts Kai figures(Garrus and Tali). Obviously Tali Bishoujo has the details while the Playarts Kai has the articulation and the accessories. I don't have too many Mass Effect collectibles, but I do love what I have. I swear I will have a 'redo' review for some of these figures.

And as I mentioned before, FemShep shares her alternate stand and I still have Ms. Shepard designed with her Renegade symbol and her gun rather than her Ombi-blade. They stand well side by side, I say.

And here she is in my Mass Effect shelf that is slowly growing. I don't think there are anymore in my crosshairs when it comes to Mass Effect merchandise so I should be good. Though those POPs.... hmmm.

I didn't mention the 'negative' things about this Bishoujo--that's because there is hardly any for me. I mean, a variant weapon or head is always nice, but this one is as simple as it is awesome. I think this is a lovely addition to anyone Mass Effect/ Tali fans. Bishoujo did a great job and it isn't so anime enough to take away for anyone who loves Mass Effect but aren't big into the anime versions of some of the work Bishoujo does. I love her and I'm glad to have her in my collection!

Also for those who are interested, there is a variant colored version. I am pretty sure I won't be getting her because the change isn't that drastic to warrant buying it; basically it almost feels like I'd be buying the figure twice.

Future Additions and Prospects

Here's another one of those (Figma/Animes)... what to add on my collection so I can fight to find MORE room! So with that said. Most these pictures are from bigbadtoystore and SideshowCollectibles.

Bishoujo Tali: As it is, this one is on its way and I can't wait to review her. It's been a while since I have had a Mass Effect figure.

Bishoujo Spider-Gwen: Preordered and she is a must. She's coming later this year.

Bishoujo New 52 Harley: At first I was very hesitant to get her but after seeing actual prototype pictures of her, I must say she is sexy and a must.

 

DC Collectibles Harley and Batgirl: I don't have a whole lot of DC, but seems they are stepping up the game! Let's start with these two gals and see just how much they stepped up their game.

Really Prospects: These next few guys are something that are a bit on the high end and I am not sure I will have the funds to support it. BUT....

I'm due for another Hot Toy and to get one this year with this Iron Man, well, I'd for sure say he'd be toy of the year. The Spider-Woman statue would definitely make me a bonafide Spider-Woman collector! And I do adore Wonder Woman's cinematic costume; Playarts Kai does great work and last I had one(Supergirl), she made the toy of the year.

Top 10's

Video Game gals - Playable or non playable, gameplay or personality, and there myriad of other reasons I can't all list makes these ladies part of my top 10 for the video game world. 

Anime gals - Admittedly, I don't watch a whole hell of a lot of anime anymore and the ones I do are pretty recent and the ones I do still has some pretty memorable femme fatales.

Comic Book Gals - Both Marvel and DC have a pretty good roster of femme fatales. These are the gals that made it to my favorite list!

So that's it! My … Harem favorites I suppose! This might get updated in the future or maybe not, but so far, these are my favorite female characters! Now there are a lot others who fit in this list and it was a hard battle on who would actually be on the list(especially in the video game section), but I based it a lot on who I think of the most and of course just how how hott they are. Yes, I was being vain, more or less. But… one more recognition since I didn't know where to put her…

Mass Effect's Last DLC & DmC

Have to admit, there was a rough point in the beginning of the game, however it's getting pretty interesting. Suffice to say, the humor is rather enticing; past conversations I suppose with some old faces joining the new! I'm enjoying it, so far... Though I think they are making it a bit harder by throwing a few obstruction... More words on it later.

Still on DmC as well. I believe I am close to finishing this game. Will have a review of course! Great game so far!

"The Red" Phase VI

Well, I won't be overzealous with words on this update since, well, there are minor things done to this place. Some can be seen if one scrutinizes this picture and compare it with the other ones...  But yeah not much really.

That wall is no longer bare bones. I was debating whether I should leave it just Red and have the others be the full on blown detail, however it wasn't going to work out in my eyes. So added some framed pictures and...

If my idea goes well, this will be the designs in the back; all of my comics(or most). We'll see if it plays out well and concurs with what is looming about my head... Well, that's it for now!

"The Red" Phase V

Been a while since I have updated this darn thing. Well, in regards to the progress of my own fortress of solitude, here we are! I'm going to be scarce in words... I am a bit fatigued from the day's endeavors so I will just let the 'thousand words' innuendo do the trick.  For now.

I have and WILL always hate FFVIII. Selphie is an annoying 'version' of the Yuffie/Rikku construct of FF world. But posing her was fun.

"Lady in Red"

The 'Red Shepard'. Suffice to say, I'm still on ME1 and I am enamored by the 'assassin' armor that you get as Commander Shepard. The whole N7 ideal in the shade of blood red is rather flattering, to say the least. So just to entice my own want to have a 'Gemini Mark' in the Mass Effect lore, I'll have to say that the 'mercenary' armor did me justice this time around! There are some things in regards to armory that is better in Mass Effect 1 than it is for the other ones.

One of the things I also liked about Mass Effect one's customization is that if one particular armor fits your aesthetics, one can find (though sometimes frustrating how tedious it is) a stronger version of it so suffice to say it's almost like an all around and all time duds! Though I suppose there is a trade off since there is a bit more leeway in one's looks in the other Mass Effects; but it's mostly for Shepard. Still though, this armor is rather enticing.

It does however take away from the whole 'N7' attachment with it being a separate armor altogether. One has to keep the 'onyx' armor if one wants to have the insignia of Shepard's most famous title.

Nothing like saving the world in the shade of blood red however, it is rather enticing.

Well, that concludes my whole blog about how enamored I am with this armor. 'Arin Shepard' does have a way with adorning Blood Red, doesn't she?
