Ame-Comi(mini): Hawkgirl

It's actually really been a while since I obtained one of these gals! The Ame-Comi line have always been a hit or miss for a lot of people. To me, honestly I love how they look(most of them) but they just aren't that special to truly enamor me. But some are noteworthy and for the price of this Hawkgirl, I definitely needed to pick her up!

This is a mini Ame-Comi statue so suffice to say, it does adhere to the name 'mini'. How small one might ask? We'll compare soon enough. But this is one of those figures I almost contemplated in keeping inside the box with how it is set up and how small she is. But without her wings properly set up inside the said box, I just have to take her out. The images on the box does't do it justice to my eyes.

Taking her out was a good idea since I do appreciate the miniscule detail put into such a small craft! Any DC fan who is into anime can for sure appreciate the amalgam of both art! One can definitely tell it's Hawkgirl despite the anime flare with he. And since it is anime, of course more flesh has to be exposed for more sensuality!

Face to mace of course! Wings fine details. Color scheme kept intact. Let's add in more legs and we have an Ame-Comi(mini) Hawkgirl in our hands!!!!

And the only other Mini Ame-Comi I have in my collection is Harley Quinn. I like both just about the same and they serve their purpose. So how "mini"?

Compared to my first(?) Ame-Comi Batgirl, Hawkgirl is indeed MINI! Again, for the price, she does justice. I do recommend picking up one if its in the way. Again, Ame-Comi isn't the kind of statue that I go out of my way to hunt down, but when I come across one for a good deal, definitely worth having!

DC: Ame-Comi

This part of my collection has been stranded in the back end; not to say I am not still enthused about their part in my ever so exuberant Game Room, it's just that they were part of my: "Do Not Open" collection. That is until I gained this room. So!

DC Toys Addition(Ame-Comi Flash)Ame-Comi(Batgirl and Huntress)

Black Lantern 'She' Flash

I don't think she was really ever around in the comic book line durning the 'Blackest Night' storyline. Though this figure still does justice. I believe there is a regular flash version(classic red and yellow), though I came across her death version first so I stuck with her. Rather awesome statue to say the least.

She holds the whole 'deathly' visage but still the rather provocative swag; the Black Lantern scheme that adorns her body and the rather sass in the posture that is also insinuating that she is ready to take off. The stands cool too as it spells 'Ame-Comi' as a tribute to the genre she is summoned from. Awesome, suffice to say.

Black alternate costume, Batgirl
If I remember correctly she was the first one I bought, or perhaps second as Huntress would be the one prior. Who knows? This particular one I believe holds a comic book series herself in the original color scheme(blue and grey). Though the rather flattering and rather boastful posing and partnered in with the exuberance of her hair and cape makes her all the while gorgeous.

Not to beat on the idea that her posing is efficacious in the way it is trying to deliver the polar opposite presence of her male side(Batman equals stern, sullen, and lacks sarcasm) fits the 'anime'ish' innuendo. Again the stand makes a proud statement that its an Ame-Comi product. There is a bit more of a special way the stand words as she has one leg out rather than both on the said stand like most statues have.

Huntress
Out of the three, Huntress is my least favorite one which might be misconstrued because I think this statue is awesome. A little bit more unique take on Huntress from her western counter part. Not that big of a difference since she still adheres to the color scheme and the trademark mask, however the one that that is distinct to the Ame-Comi is her 'cape'. Not so much of a cape but it adds a flare to it, which again I adore.

It's actually more of a jacket than a cape; or maybe a cloak. Not too entirely sure but again it's take on it is rather unique and enamoring. Much like a lot of the statues I have, justice is only done to their league if they are out of the box and 'posed'. Well, that's that for my Ame-Comis.

"The Red" Phase VI

Well, I won't be overzealous with words on this update since, well, there are minor things done to this place. Some can be seen if one scrutinizes this picture and compare it with the other ones...  But yeah not much really.

That wall is no longer bare bones. I was debating whether I should leave it just Red and have the others be the full on blown detail, however it wasn't going to work out in my eyes. So added some framed pictures and...

If my idea goes well, this will be the designs in the back; all of my comics(or most). We'll see if it plays out well and concurs with what is looming about my head... Well, that's it for now!

"The Red" Phase V

Been a while since I have updated this darn thing. Well, in regards to the progress of my own fortress of solitude, here we are! I'm going to be scarce in words... I am a bit fatigued from the day's endeavors so I will just let the 'thousand words' innuendo do the trick.  For now.

Getting somewhere.

That's 'ME' in the spotlight...

Yes. A Mass Effect Shelf with lighting.

AND...

I have and WILL always hate FFVIII. Selphie is an annoying 'version' of the Yuffie/Rikku construct of FF world. But posing her was fun.

That's all folks. For now.

DC Toys addition

So again as I have reiterated more than once throughout my course of blogging, I am now a big DC Fan. Maybe not as knowledgeable as I am with Marvel, but I am starting to get into the groove of some of the DC Mythos.  So needless to say this month was full of festivities and gifts. Needless to say I am a glutton for adding more and more decorations to my already too vibrant (and lack of space) Game Room! So.. Here are my new additions to the DC wall!

The Blackest Night additions!

Black Lantern Flash

I don't have any plans on opening these guys. Their packaging is transparent enough for me to take note of every fine detail and not to mention that once you open them up (requires a lot of work if not an easy but messy cutting procedure). So they'll remain inside as a wall decor.

Attrocitus
Now Mera in Red Lantern form doesn't have to be alone!

Now the next are the Anime fusion with Western style. Now it was my understanding that DC's line up was usually called 'Ame-Comi' while Marvel was with Bishoujo. I was wrong since there are a few Bishoujo holding some of the finer Female DC characters. Well... here they are!

And while she does look Amazing in the box...

Nice package with some good description.

Being out of the box serves her more justice.

Backside great view don't' you think?

And for category purposes, she is lined up with my Marvel Bishoujos.

Next is my Ame-Comi I gained this month. She might be my only one but she is AMAZING to say the least! And I also got a mini Ame-Comi; my first one and it happens to be Harley Quinn!

Now in my honest opinion, these can be very intriguing (the Ame-comi) out of the box as well. Like their cousins (Bishoujo), their intricate details and just how much effort put into making these ladies look attracting are of course perfect for display, however my DC wall still looks bare if I decide to take them out of there SO... box it is!

So this is what my DC wall looks like now after those additions from this month!

Not so bad compared to what it was a couple of months ago, right? (DC Wall; The Game Room) And it is still building. Sadly, I am running out of space so I believe that eventually I will really have to SLOW down drastically on my addiction in accumulating these wonderful things. Well anyways, that's that. More to come in the next few days to capsulize what this month provided for me!
