Bishoujo: Juri Han

A bit late on reviewing this gal since she was from the 2015, but, better LATE than never, right? Regardless, she is my last statue from said year and let me just say, I have been wanting this psychotic Street Fighter for a long time now. Being the sadistic version of Chun Li(who also has a Bishoujo which I have yet to buy), she is indeed a worthy addition in the Street Fighter realm in my humble opinion. As a Bishoujo Juri Han has a lot to offer. Let's take a look at that, shall we?

The box itself is a pretty standard Bishoujo box that we have seen before. This box however is black as if it's some kind of special edition. I've only seen black box for Bishoujo when it is a variant (like repainted Batgirl), but I suppose the change of color of the box doesn't do much to alter the figure itself since boxes hardly affects a figure's worth. So with that said, let us take a look at the figure itself.

Juri is a beautiful Bishoujo. Juri already has that appeal to her as a video game character but Kotobukiya does a superb job capturing that sex appeal in her statue form. This pose is perfect for Juri--an amalgam of her promiscuous ways and the whole "That feels good doesn't it while I break your spine with my foot?". The detail of her 'loose' clothing with her pants and the sash is amazing!

The paint job is beautiful! Every detail that Juri has definitely is in the state! I've always liked her design in all aspects so to have a Bishoujo be a full on replica is always amazing.

And again, I'm going to comment on Kotobukiya's ability to make 'aggressive' stance mix in with sexiness. And speaking of details...

I truly love that spider clinging on to her body! Sculpting is always superb on Bishoujo's part and it is appreciated through and through! I'm so glad that they didn't short hand any off her distinguishable costume perks!

Some gripe about her tongue posture and I think it fits. Juri is the type to get aroused by the pain of her opponent and I think that's one of the ways that can show that kind of elation. One thing is the I wish her 'glowing' eye is somehow incorporated here like perhaps an alternate eye? Oh well, I guess they must have thought it would have taken away from her beauty. One thing that I must say I 'dislike' about this, and it is a minor qualm and not even the statue's fault; her hair design. I like it, but I think her hair down could be better. Again, that is character design.

For display options on her stand, Juri comes with two transparent pictures that can be placed under her stand (very similar to the way one can with FemShep Bishoujo). I was thinking of using the Street Fighter logo but decided to just use Juri. I think it is better.

And I finally got the chance to update my Street Fighter shelf! Doesn't happen very often with how much I do not collect SF related figures (as much as I am a fan of the game, I should have more).

In conclusion, Bishoujo delivers again with another favorite character of mine and a fantastic statue! Very in character! Sexy! Dangerous! Anyone who is  Street Fighter fan and uses/loves Juri would get a kick(get it? A kick?!) out of this! I'm a Bishoujo fan and a Street Fighter fan and even I refrain from getting the other SF Bishoujos but Juri I had to get and I am NOT disappointed. She really makes me want to have the other Bishoujo SFs now! Regardless, great addition to 2015's line up for statues!
