POP: Gwenpool

Another POP to add into the fray! And yes, this is the Unbelievable Gwenpool joining the gang of POPs I have collected. Let's just go ahead and check her out.

As standard as they come. Nothing in the back to list who else is in her wave; maybe she is a special edition of some sort. Who knows.

Her costume design is a Deadpool homage, obviously. And she has a backstory as to WHY her legs are showing off like that. And NO, it's not pure fan service according to her. Love the details on this POP though, fan service or not.

That droop on her mask is always a hilarious addition.

And as always, love the fact that POP is really getting in touch with the character poses rather than the dull 'stand there' all POPs used to have.

Not much else to say. Honestly, this is my first Gwenpool figure! Not the last, that's for sure. 

POP: Days of the Future Past Logan

Another POP joined the ranks and he came from the future! As a fan of POP and Wolverine, getting his is a must! Let's check him out!

I already have a couple from this set. Will probably get MoHawk Storm if I find her, the others I can pass. Well, I guess Sabertooth could be cool. I don't have a Sabertooth figure at all and could use one.

POP has always been good with the details they provide. They give it where it's needed despite the theme of their figures. Paint isn't going to be Hot Toy quality or anything, but it is good. And lately, they have been stepping it up with the poses! This new Wolverine is no exception to those rules.

He's so cute at what he does!

All in all, this is an awesome addition! Probably one of my favorite Logan fitters that doesn't involve a mask or the standard X-Men costume! 

POP: Vivec (Elder Scrolls Morrowind)

Time for some more POP review (I have a few that I need to review). This time, it's going to be another Elder Scroll merchandise (yeah, those don't come too often). Let's dive in for the review, shall we?

It glows in the dark as the box said... not very good. Guess I'll talk about it later. The back of the box makes me curious about the other ones in this set.... I've only ever seen Vivec though.

Now part of the reason I was so compelled by this POP is that it's not just 'neutral'. Vivec has a uniqueness to him that makes him stand out! It's the pose! That transparent stand that allows him to have that "in-character"! I immediately knew I had to get him for my POP collection.

What's cool about this POP is how different the coloring is on right and left sides. Truly sticks with the character's peculiar and Morrowind-esque style. The blue and gold are darker tones that don't make him look like a clown and the red eyes give him that Dunmer quality. He is also peppered with minor metallic armor here and there so he looks pretty cool. 

Funko Dremora, POP Dremora , Symbiote Dark Elf, POP Alduin

Funny how she sticks out among my other Elder Scroll paraphernalia. Then again, he is the only one who has the brighter colors. I might get some ES related POPs if I can find them again; I know I can find some ESO POPs my local retail stores. 

Vivec is both adorable and unique. HAD to have him in my collection. Definitely, addds a new zest to my already erratic set of POPs.

POP: Pink Ranger

GO GO Power Rangers! Have I mentioned that I am a "casual" fan of the Power Rangers franchise? I watched the original Rangers way back when, then I ended up following them a little bit after the Original movie came out. I watched the Turbo movie, then I stopped watching altogether. But with the movie coming out, I was given this 'rekindle' some old feelings. I had a crush on the Pink Ranger(and on a tangent, had a crush on Kaitlin from VR troopers too!). Anyways, that's where this little beauty came from! That side of the fandom!

I am ambivalent when it comes to getting the other Rangers. I'm tempted to get the White Ranger since he was one of my favorites, but I don't know if I have that much space to get into a Power Ranger POP collection. We'll see.

One thing off the get go is that Pink Ranger over here does not have a bobble head. Other than that, it's a cool looking POP. While the Rangers(or any of the Sentai warriors' suit for that matter) outfit does not make sense for what they do, it is a good contrast for each ranger and the theme offers enough uniformity to make one know that The Power Rangers are here. Funko definitely did their best to capture every essence that they can with this figure. Though Pink Ranger's stance is odd when having her 'vanilla' pose. This stance is meant for the head to turn to the side; it's an action pose. If the head is facing forward, it just looks like she is doing a funny dance.

There you go folks! In celebration of the movie coming out, I had to get this. Sure I'm no Power Ranger collector, but it is awesome. And might I notify you that this is the last of my POP from the December Spoils. Unless I find a POP that is that attracting and a MUST(Jessica Drew, Spider-Woman, anyone?!), I will stop here, for now. 

POP: New 52 Harley Quinn

As if I don't have enough Harley in my collection, right? Well, here's another Harley in the form of her New 52 self in a POP version. Let's go right into the details of this thing!

The line up doesn't attract me at all except for Supergirl, which I do have in my collection.  This girl is supposed to be a Hot Topic exclusive, but they put her in the back of the box. Well, she wasn't in the Supergirl box so, yeah.

I don't really have a major problem with Harley Quinn's costume; I don't think it's her best one, but it does have some themes I liked. And I like "sexy" and "revealing" outfits, but this one just doesn't do it. Funny, though, it has more "Harlequin" than her DCEU does.

Now here's what's interesting. As for her pose, she doesn't seem to be very "Harley" like. I don't think that pose fits her since it is a bit too... regal? Too calm. Harley is anything BUT calm. She's a freaking crazy stick of dynamite who bounces around ready to explode. OR she's a seductive jester ready to ride you like a camel while cutting your brains out in the process. My other statues fit her character mold than her new POP version.

Here she is next to her Bishoujo and her DC Collectibles version. While for the most part, these three retain some kind of consistency, there are some big enough differences to make me want to look at what she looked like in the first issue of the New 52 Suicide Squad comic book this costume came from. Both POP and DC C. have the eye paintings, Bishoujo does not. The shoes are all inconsistent. It's just funny in some way.

So yeah, an okay addition, but an addition nonetheless. I like it and it definitely allows some growth in both my Harley Quinn shelf and my POP.
