The Amazing Spider-Man was due to arrive at 6/26/12 and I was anticipating it. The reasons being is that it is the first Spider-Man game to get back into the whole open world/sandbox genre since Web of Shadow way back when. Truth to be told, I miss this kind of Spidey game... While Shattered Dimensions offered a fresh new take on the Spidey gaming concept, Edge of Time did nothing of the sort. In fact, Spider-Man: Edge of Time tried to capitalize on what Shattered Dimensions did and failed! So... a premature verdict on the matter is that it's pretty entertaining. Again, A full review will be up as soon as I get it done however... there was a slight... fork in the road!
For some reason this didn't register in my ever so intuitive gaming radar and it came out the same day as Spidey's new debut. I've been a fan of the Agarest War series despite how redundant it had become both story and gameplay wise between Zero and the First game. However it does still spark an interest in my gaming heart. It is after all in between the boundaries of perversion and a romantic story! So needless to say I ended up purchasing both and is now toggling between both. While I barely scratched the surface of this game, it seems there is a fresh new take and the graphics far exceeds its predecessors (Finally!). Review on this game will probably take a little longer since the longevity of this game (and the tedious tasks and grinding it requires) is far more potent than Spider-Man (and for sure Lollipop Chainsaw!).
Ho ho ho! What is this?! |
