SEGA figures: Elsa the Snow Queen

Part of the list of my Imports prospects for 2016, I was more than ecstatic to have this figure in my possession. She was actually last in my list but thanks to a fellow deviant, I found out that this faithful to the movie figure exists. So let's get right to the point then and check out this figure, eh?

Right off the get go, for an import, there is nothing too impressive about its box. It retains the window look and the Frozen familiar pictures, but other than that, it's pretty dull. But we don't collect for the sake of the box now, do we?  I suppose it's because I'm just a bit spoiled with Bishoujo's more eye-catchy box cover with them flaunting artwork of the figure and promotional art all over the box.

There is no denying that this statue is tangible image of the Elsa we know in the Frozen movie. Everything about her is just identical and SEGA did a wonderful job capturing the very essence that made Elsa lovable (minus her voice and her gloomy attitude)! The paint job is absolute with her dress having the tint of light blue and aqua amalgam. The translucent cape definitely gives it an ice-like look; it's decorated with snowflakes, which is Elsa's trademark in her wonderful cape.

Depending on who the light hits her, she definitely changes color a bit, giving her that enchanted ambiance that she is known for.

Though one thing I have to say is that his stand is a bit on the lackluster. Being only plain white, it really stands out against the figure. Maybe if I had snow, this stand would be more than adequate since it is snow white. Sadly, I might have to wait to try standing her in her 'natural element'.

Amongst other things that really impresses me with this figure is the way the face is done. Her skin tone is faithful to the movie, those exaggerated eyes are still mesmerizing. Her expression is that confident and almost sensual smirk that she gained when Frozen was going through the happy ending (and the ones we see in promotion art). The sculpting on the hair is elegant and very accurate. I do think she could use some snowflakes effect on them, but hey, it's still good. It even falls on her left shoulder as it always did in the movie!

Again, this is an amazing statue. Look at the natural lighting playing an affect on the color scheme; truly gives her dress an ice-like form. Her posture is so Elsa: sexy and innocent but still holding that elegance.

Here she is next to my Elsa Infinity and the Nendroid Good Smile Elsa.

And probably the next most 'accurate' Elsa merchandise I have (not including the doll displayed that is not technically mine) is this bust I have by Grand Jester. As you can see, this SEGA statue is still the most accurate one.

And how can we forget the POPS (Snow Queen and Coronation).

And quite obviously, my Elsa shelf space is getting a bit tight in there... like Elsa's... okay never mind! Bad joke!

In conclusion, this Elsa figure is amazing. Movie accurate with her face, her hair, her dress, and even that pose that just spells something sensual despite it being innocent; just like Elsa. This is a must have for Elsa collectors. I'll be honest, she's on a pricey side and if you missed the preorder on BigBadToyStore, you are paying three times the price of her original retail ticket price. I didn't pay that much, but doubled was still a lot. But she's worth it. She has me frozen in place and I can't just let her go. PUNS!
