Damsel of the Month:

Name: Chun Li

Game/Series: Street Fighter II - IV, Street Fighter VS series, Street Fighter Alpha

Some Words: The Month of July as I had already mentioned is special to me so in regards to this little realm of my blogging area I have to think of a particular gal who fits this month rather perfectly! Strong, classic, and beautiful... while many did come across my mind, none other than Chun Li did lay out those three words with perfect harmony so this month is then hers to indulge in her inner bondage self. Now sadly enough, Ms. Li doesn't have(from my knowledge) a treatment in the mainstream games and the few anime/t.v. shows she has appeared in! But luckily for us she has a ton of love from the D.I.D. community! As always, Loz is more than happy to apply some of that love! Which is of course what makes him one of my favorite artist.

If anyone remotely knows anything about Street Fighter, they should recognize the trademark buns of this asian femme fatale. If one delves deeper into the game and actually have used or fought this gal, one should be well aware that her forte is how much and how HARD she can kick! Suffice it to say that binding her legs is  always a MUST. And bind them with diligence unless the wrath of a thousand foot in your face is something that is enticing to feel. Which the picture on the left didn't practice that prudence that I just announce since, YES, she would be less of a threat without her hands but those legs are still deadly as all hell. As a trained martial artist, this gal still has a veritable sense of balance and lethality with the use of those kicks; one doesn't entirely need hands to be able to throw an efficient kick and at a vital target. But a spinning bird kick will be out of the question... at least the landing will be a bit more... painful.

Oh yes, Ocelotina definitely knows how to apply proper bondage! Well considering that she herself is a damsel, one would only surmise that she had adapted a few tricks. At least from this depiction of her, she knows how to confine the "World's Strongest Woman".

Going off on a tangent a bit from her damsel spotlight and into a bit of her 'history', Capcom hasn't always been kind to their characters in Street Fighter in regards to a proper and a bit more enthusiastic story lines. Considering she originated and continues to make appearances in fighting games, Chun Li will aways suffer from having a REALLY good background story. Since M.Bison was THE main antagonist in the older Street Fighters, everyone's stories revolved around getting revenge on the S.O.B. Chun Li had her father murdered by the bastard, thus she went on a streak fighting anyone who was hunting down the bastard til she got to him and ... well there. Oh yes, she was an interpol agent with a really fancy and provocative outfit. Chances are with how powerful and how MUCH Bison had on the whim, Chun Li would've probably ended up tied up in his chambers ready to get...

Well you get the picture. But again, the legs needs more restraints. Rival wise, Chun Li had always been paired against the blonde bombshell of Street Fighter(and he only other female character for a while until the Alpha series), Cammy. I think Chun LI  has a fight in her hands, but I can see it going one way or the other. According to this pic though...

Lost One Zero
A late comer in the Street Fighter series is Juri. The ALMOST female version of Bison. Pyscho, volatile, and freaking PMS'ing. She goes on par with Chun LI with kicks being her main weapon in the martial arts realm... but she goes even further. She has this thing in her eye and undeniable power that I KNOW Chun Li isn't a match for. This picture by Loz again capsulizes it well...

In regards to the versus series, well, Chun Li has a bit more females to contend with. I never played pass SNK and the Marvel series, but I would surmise Mai is a perfect rival for her; a shame I don't have a decent picture of that. But what I do have...

Reptile Eye from Deviant art.
Rivals aside, Chun Li is a perfect candidate as a damsel because of where she works, her sense of justice, and the fact that humbling her down is a good recipe for a distressed damsel. A veritable chemistry of damsel and kidnapper is if the kidnapped USED to have power but when bound, power slips very quickly.

Another great deviant artist: "DEECDLC"
I have always been a great fan of Chun Li from day one that I started playing Street Fighter. When people think of the femme fatale of gaming, many nowadays will say Lara Croft, but truth to be told, maybe aside from Samus, Chun Li has been holding down the fort for a long while now with her lightning kicks. With that much years of kicking, the D.I.D. community has been enamored to put her in a bit more of a 'Princess Peach' place and again, as I already described, she fits well in it.

July is a good month and adding on tribute to a 'damsel' that has caught my attention in a gaming genre I have been playing since way back when... well! Suffice it to say, it's fits rather well!

To the month of Virgo we go then... Which maiden fits in that category for next month?

!Because of this! I can't give linked credits anymore! But I hope I gave homage to those whose work is in this page!
