"...if you close your eyes..."

And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Rain clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above

But if you close your eyes,
Does it almost feel like
Nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes,
Does it almost feel like
You've been here before?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

The Chrono Cross OST

Admittedly, this is one of my favorite soundtracks of video games of the past. Something about the somber lullaby that pulls one in to the melody. It may not be anything close to Chrono Trigger's soundtrack(Chrono Trigger: OST), but it does have certain tunes like the vocals called 'Radical Dreamers', 'The Girl who stole the stars', 'Dreams of another Shore', and 'Scars of Time' that are my favorite. There are even a few homage to the old soundtrack of Chrono Trigger(Lucca's theme song is the victory fanfare).

It even comes with a mini 'poster' that I happen to have a frame for so I am able to put it up tonight! The CD case itself is rather enticing since it is making a more realistic and tangible concept of the 'Frozen Flame'. I will vindicate them of blame for not including some of my favorite characters in there(the game had about 50 or so characters so yes, some leeway is allowed).

So I added it to the video game posters wall. Not sure if I'm seeing a good pattern yet, but I don't ahve TOO MUCH pictures to really come up with a cohesive pattern. We shall see.

The Chrono Trigger OST

Music to my ears. Literally. Chrono Trigger is perhaps a testament of what Jrpgs used to be in regards to the core of their story. No other RPG (aside from FFVI) from the east has given a resounding story as jovial, as dramatic, and as engaging as Chrono Trigger (for me). Probably a big factor to the ambiance of the way the story is told is the music for sure. This was jrpg music was in its prime and by God, the nostalgia, the inspiration, the emotion that profusely pours from each track!!!!

It comes with 3 discs of rather cathartic tunes in my ears. In between the limbo of the past when I was young and playing this, and in the times when I was starting out to write and finding motivation, suffice to say, having this WHOLE playlist on my iTunes is AMAZING!

Again. Awesome to have on the Christmas List. What makes it even more awesome is that it was in my Christmas Stocking!

Marle's theme (ending and regular), Crono's, Frog's, victory fanfare, Secret of the Forest, Green Memories .... and so much more! I love this OST!!!!!

Writing Music

I asked for Chrono Trigger Original Sound Track for Christmas. Somehow there is really something about this music that helps me delve into writing like no other. This one and a few of the other Final Fantasy soundtracks. They are sublime! Chrono Cross is up there as well in my opinion. Hopefully I get it!!!

Chances are I will. Anyways... here some of the music that I indulge on during late night writing sessions:

Words....

"And it's happened once again, I'll turn to a friend, someone who understands, sees through the master plan. But everybody's gone... but I've been here for too long. To face this on my own, well I guess this is growing up!"

Addicting Song

"You didn't have to stoop so low, had your friends collect your records and then change your numbers... guess that I don't need that though, now You're Just Somebody That I used To Know. Somebody!"

Ain't that bitch?

Electronic Daisy Carnival

I have been a big fan of the house, dance, rave, music genre and to say that I experienced EDC 2012 was for sure one of the most amazing thing I have ever did. The vibe that just pervades all about the crowd as well as the people I chose to be with was indeed made it well worth the cost, the time, and the effort. Now it wasn't far from perfect of course with Saturday, June 9 event was temporarily shut down because of the weather, the traffic both car wise and people (expected) and the usual trouble with people being too much under the influence of something, needless to say that the Friday night event made my trip. However it was quite unfortunate that I paid for a three day event just to attend one day, however partying from Dusk Til Dawn was for sure enough to make one say it was worth it.

Sometime I wish to do it again, however with plans being the way they are next year, I do not think I will be attending this event for a long while, if even. But despite all that, at least I was able to say I did it once with the people I love the most and in the end I would say that trip was beyond amazing, it was celestial, and it brought memories worth reliving everyday.
